Night Out in Town Outfit

I recently went out for my friends birthday and waned to share with you ladies what I wore, usually I tend to go for dresses for nights out but with the weather being so cold I decided to wear leggings and a top and personally I loved it. It was a pretty bright and almost summery look but I think for a night out it was perfect although I warn you now ladies white leggings are tricky to keep clean when on a night out. My top and leggings were both from River Island , the clutch I had was a white and gold coloured one which I think finished off the outfit perfectly. Unfortunately my shoes I bought over two years ago so I couldn't find them for you guys however everything else is listed down below.
What do you like to wear on a night out?

Bright Orange Top £26.00: RIVER ISLAND
White Leggings £15.00: RIVER ISLAND
White and Gold Clutch Bag £10.00 : DOROTHY PERKINS

Fake Bake Flawless Self Tan Liquid Review

If your anything like me and love having a bronzed skin all year around , you will be interested in this product for sure.  Fake bake have launched a numb of successful products and this one is one of them. I was impressed from the moment I opened this as I loved the smell , the soft mitt along with the fact it comes with a pump which makes the application process super easy. The colour comes out quiet dark however once worked in to the skin it  is a very subtle colour looks great , it is not orangey and leaves you with a nice slightly bronzed skin although I do have to say that one application will only give you a subtle colour if your looking for a deeper bronzed result I would recommend two applications.

How I apply this product?

First I exfoliate my skin with an exfoliating glove to prepare my skin and make sure it is smooth, once I get out the shower I make sure to moisturise and I highly recommend using an oil free moisturiser as this will make sure your tan is streak free, oil has the tendency to separate the product leaving you with a streak tan. Make sure you allow time for your moisturiser to sink in prior to the application. After all the steps have been taken I spray this directly on to the skin and then immediately distribute the product using the mit and circular motion making sure it looks even all over the tinted product makes this an easy process.

What makes this better than other fake tans I have used?

*It dries quicker than most fake tans.
*It has a  gorgeous  coconut/exotic smell
*Has a dark guide to make it easier to apply.
*Comes with a good mitt which makes the process of applying it a lot smoother

Cons:
*It can get messy .
*It rubs off quite easily onto clothes or pyjamas.
*It is more on the pricier side than other fake tanners.

Overall this is a fab product and worth trying for sure, its great that the colour is buildable and would work with almost all skin tones.

In Love With Fashion Bloggers Event

This weekend In Love with Fashion hosted their first Fashion Bloggers event to which I was kindly invited by the lovely Love girls. I have heard a lot of things about the brand and have bought stuff from them before in their Topshop Store s so it was great to learn more about the brand and find out how it all started as I was not aware of their origins before I attended the event this weakened.
The even was hosted in London , since I am currently living in Cardiff it was a great opportunity for me to go back home for the weekend to visit the family whilst also attending the event.

I attended the event with one of my best friends and we had a blast, once we arrived we were greeted by the lovely girls with refreshments such as drinks, doughnuts and lots of lovely bloggers who attended the event. I fell in love with the colours and designs of the items we saw whilst there an have  made an online purchase of their fluffy baby pink jumper.

There was an opportunity to have your photo taken , chat to the love girls and much more. Half way through the even the girls gave a little speech each which were all very inspiring and I am sure all of the bloggers who attended found it very motivational to carry on working  hard on what you love and don't give up as there are so many opportunities out there you just got to make yourself seen and get yourself out there.

Konjac Sponge Review

I was recently kindly sent this Konjac Sponge as I have been looking to improve my skincare and just generally take better of my skin. I have used many facial cleansing sponges before however found a lot of them quiet rough on the skin leaving me with red / and irritated skin after using it. Having used this for just under a week I have already noticed a difference in the smoothness of my skin , it feels very soft and gentle on the skin yet still leaves your skin deeply cleansed, as to whether it has become more radiant I can not say that yet as I have not used it for long enough however I do have high hopes as so far it has been working great.

It is an extremely gentle yet effective exfoliating sponge which can be used on both your face and body. This sponge will not replace your make up remover however will be a great addition to your cleansing process.

What is it?

Is a 100% natural Vegetable Fibre Sponge with a nourishing mineral rich red clay deep cleansing sponge which gently exfoliates your skin without over drying it or irritating it. It contains red clay which is known to clean out the skin and speeds up the process of skin regeneration. It also aims to improve blood circulation which helps the skin to look more radiant.

Benefits?

There are many benefits that the Konjack Sponge has:

♥ 100% Natural
♥ Gently Exoliates
♥ 100% Biodegradable
♥ Vegan
♥ No animal Testing

How to use the sponge?

It is important to wet your sponge before using it as it goes solid and dry when not damp, simply run it under water until its completely soaked and your sponge will be ready to use. Once it has been in contact with water the sponge becomes soft and puffy thats how you know its ready to use, i apply cleanser all over my face then using circular motions exfoliate the skin. The circular massaging will also help with stimulating your skin and improve the skin renewal process.

How often will I have to replace the sponge?

Like most things it does have to be replaced after a while, they claim it will last for at least 2-3 months of course that varies how well you take care of it. To pro long the wear I suggest you rinse he sponge well leaving it clean and ready for the next use, whats handy is that the sponge has a string so you can hang it and allow it to dry ready for the next use.

Final Thoughts

So far so good , I have been using this every night and will be continuing for sure , I would totally recommend this as it is a great product and comes in various forms for different skin types. They retail at £7.99 which I thinks great for what you get!

Birthday Celebrations Weekend

This weekend has been a pretty busy and eventful one , I turned 22 on Sunday and had a blast celebrating it with my old uni bestie which I have not seen in months, she visited me for the weekend so we spent two days together which was great, you know your true friends with someone when you don't see them for months yet as soon as you reunite it feels like the old times and nothings changed. We went out for drinks on saturday and grabbed lunch together on Sunday, it was so nice to see her and catch up after such a long time. On sunday I celebrated with my gorgeous bestie Sav , she surprised me with the cutest cake and card ever an then we went out for a few cocktails. I have a very busy next few weeks so will be celebrating my birthday with the rest of my friends at the end of February which I am very much looking forward too. I have a few beauty reviews coming up this week as well as a giveaway coming your way tomorrow so keep your eyes out for that.

Instagramming

It has been a while since I've done an instagram post, the last couple of weeks have gone so fast I can not believe we are half way through January already. 2014 has been a pretty good year for me so far in all fairness as you can see from the images above I've been pretty busy, starting from my first instagram one of my best friends has left to go to Aussie Land for six months to study and I am missing her like crazy but hope to visit her at some point, coffee now I have a love hate relationship with coffee and we just can't seem to break up haha, I have tried to give it up but I just love caffeine too much so instead I am trying to limit the amount of coffee I drink instead. Sticking to my staying positive and healthy new years resolution has also been going very well , I have incorporated more healthy meals and been exercising regularly with an occasional glass of wine with a  few friends to relax at the weekend. Being a big foodie I love eating out and do have cheat days were I allow myself to eat what I want for one meal of the day. I love the new 3d nails I came across the other day although they are just your ordinary glue on nails they look fab and I will be going back for more as at £1.49 they were an absolute bargain. On the work side of things everything seems to be going well my contract has been extended which I was stoke about and am still really enjoying working as a junior interior designer, its definitely a dream career for me and I hope to achieve a lot more in that area. I hope your all having a great week.

Work & Date Night Outfits

I hope you all had a good "Blue Monday" yesterday, considering it was suppose to be the most depressing day of the year I had  a pretty good day in all honesty anyway back to the actual post, today I have a fashion post for you ladies sharing my weekend date night outfit and my work outfit I wore yesterday. I love the colour black if you haven't noticed already hehe, I think its just such  flattering colour and goes with everything and anything. Starting from the left which is my work outfit I wore faux lea the leg gins with a black jumper, black boots and my studded bag which I adore. This is such a comfy yet stylish look perfect for those days where you want to be comfortable yet still look like you've made a little bit of an effort.

For my date night outfit I paired my black disco pants with a simple black crop top and my bright orange blazer, since my a bit of my stomach was on the show the blazer gave this look a more stylish look and date appropriate. Shoe wise I wore my black boots and added gold jewellery pieces to tie the outfit together.

Beauty Haul

Whilst shopping today I picked up a few new beauty products to try out this week. I was on the look out for a new concealer which I could use to highlight my face so I was looking for a pretty light coloured one and came across the Maybelline cover stick in ivory and decided to give it a go, when I swatched the in boots I really liked the colour and consistency but I will do a full review once I've used it a couple of times.
I also run out of my eye make up remover , I usually tend to stick to the L'oreal miscellar water which I adore as it works great , but since they were sold out in the  boots I went to I decided to give the
Garnier Simply Essentials eye make up remover a go instead it claims to be suitable for sensitive skin and removed both your eye and face make up which I will be testing out this week.

Next item I picked up was the St Moriz wash off instant body tan, I love this stuff, its so easy to use and perfect to use on the go if you want a little bit of colour but dont have time to fake tan before.

Last but not least I picked up the Charles Worthington straight & smooth hair straightening Kit which I have been eyeing up for a while but never got around to try it . It sounds like it has the potential to be a good product but at the same time I am a little skeptical nevertheless I will give this a go and do a full review once I have tested it out.

Thats all the beauty products I purchased , I will do a full review of all the products mentioned above soon, hope you all had a fab weekend and have a great week

ImpressNails

I have heard of the impress nails a while back however never got around to trying them as I wasn't sure how well they would last so either stuck to acrylic nails or grew my own. Recently I was kindly sent these and decided to give them a try, so far so good , they are so easy to apply and I love that the length is not too long but not too short either.

Each pack contains 24 nails in various sizes so that you can get the perfect fit for your nail. The first set I decided to try is this cool zebra print, I love the way they look although a litre daring for some I personally love them. When I received them I had a look at their website and the range they have is fabulous they have so many designs and colours you are bound to find a design or colour that fits you for sure.

The application is super easy and there are instructions at the back. Prior to application I suggest you file and smooth your nail so that its clean for the application as this will pro long the wear. It takes no time and within a few minutes you are left with great nails, these would be perfect for on the go or if your running late and want your nails to look great. Although I have to say despite the glue being strong I wouldn't put any strong pressure on them as I do feel they would have difficulty staying put.

My initial thoughts of these being tricky to stay put as they do not require glue were correct , they do not last unless looked after properly and applied on to a clean surface however having said that they are a great product for events, parties etc maybe not so practical on everyday basis.

Have you tried these what are your thoughts?

Shoe Design Ideas

Having my own shoe range has been a dream of mine for a while, being a true shoeaholic I own way too many pairs yet still feel the need to buy more why? I simply love them. I've been meaning to start designing for a while, recently I came across this website called Shoes Of Prey which allows you to design your 'perfect shoe' I have been playing around on their website and came up with the three designs which you can see in the images above and below. The pair above is by far my favourite , I have been loving the black and white combo for a while and thick the shoes look stunning and would go perfectly with both dresses and trousers.
The designs above are still based around the monochrome idea however an animal print has been incorporated in to the design to add a bit of colour and make them more interesting. I decided to only add a limited amount of the animal print so that it is not over powering and still looks chic.
