Having a combination skin type it can be tricky for me to find products that work for me especially as I find my skin can be sensitive at times and can react to some products making it even more difficult to find products suitable for my skin. I have tried and tested so many from drug store to high end products and found that it is a tricky process finding the 'perfect' skin care regime to help fight all of our skin problems.

Having oily areas on my t-zone I find that pores can be a problem and I also know it is something a lot of young girls and adults battle with everyday. Pores are usually most apparent in the oh so called T-zone are aka the forehead , nose and chin, they are small opening in the surface of the skin which we all have. The pore size can become larger with age,  over exposure to the sun or if they become clogged with dirt , oil and dead skin cells hence why a hygienic and structured skin care routine is essential if you want to keep your pores clean resulting in your pores appearance being less visible.

A good skincare routine is something I try to maintain at all times so when I heard about the Skin Doctors No More Pores Range I was very keen to try it out as I was very keen on the concept behind it, as mentioned above having tried a lot of products in the past I have to be honest as excited as I was to try this I was a little bit skeptical whether the products would deliver. Having used these products for just over two weeks I was very pleased with how my skin started behaving. I noticed my skin had cleared up quiet a bit after being super consistent with this regime, but I also find my oil production has reduced too which I am very pleased about.

The first step is the T- Zone Control cleanser  £14.95 which I really enjoy using as the formula is almost like a mixture between a gel and a cream cleanser it does a great job at removing your make up and dirt of your skin leaving it feeling clean yet not tight or dry after wards.

The next product is the T -zone No more oil £25.95 day cream which was designed to help control the oil on the surface of your skin, it is a lightweight moisturizer which absorbs in the skin very quickly once applied to the skin. This makes it great for a base under make up as the light weight formula does not leave your skin feeling greasy which means your make up stays put.

The last step is The No more pores £23.95 night cream which was designed to shrink, unclogg and tighten your pores. The formula of this cream is a lot thicker I find that it gives a slight tingly sensation once I apply this to the skin which disappears after a few seconds however it does not irritate my skin or leave it red. The concept behind this cream is for the formula of the product to help reduce the production of the excess oil which leads to enlarged pores. I have to say this is probably my favorite product from the range as I find whilst it works to prevent your oil production it still hydrates my skin enough although I have to say I do use a face oil every other day but even on the days I wasn't using it I never found this product drying at all.

Over all I think this is a great range and is worth a try if your skin type is similar to what I describe above. The range works pretty well at controlling your oil production which is what leads to more pores hence why this is great for anyone looking to prevent them. Of course I will have to use this for a bit longer to see how my pores are looking in the long term but so far I am very pleased with the results I achieved in such a short amount of time. I will be doing an update on this in a few weeks to keep you ladies updated with how my skin has changed or if it has changed any further after continuing to use these products.

BEAUTY FAVOURITES

It's time to share with you dolls some of the products which have really stood out to me over the last few weeks and I have found myself loving. Being a fashion and beauty blogger I love trying out new products but at the same time I am one of those people that once I find something that works for me I tend to stick to it at least for a while anyway.

 Firstly is my Benefit World famous Neutrals Palette which I recently rediscovered. I love the gorgeous colours although they are shimmery so if your not into that this palette will not be your cup of tea however the bronzy goldy tones are simply beautiful for spring and summer. The pigmentation of these is fab not to mention how vibrant the colours look once applied onto the eyelid. The palette comes with two bronzy cream shadows which I tend to use as a base as this makes the colours pop even more. 

Next is a foundation I received as a gift from my mum it's the Nars Firiming foundation not that I need any firming yet but since she had one spare I decided to give it a go , prevention is key ladies! This foundation has a great coverage which can be as light or heavy as you desire and leaves your skin with a gorgeous flawless finish. I find that it is pretty long lasting but most importantly it doesn't oxidise which is something I think is very important when on the look out for a good foundation.

To apply my foundation I have been loving my Sigma Round Top Kabubki Brush  it buffs your foundation into a flawless air brushed finish ever since I discovered this brush I have not gone back to your regular foundation brush which I found left streaks on my face. 

Skincare wise I am absolutely in love with this Skin Doctors no more pores night cream. I have a full review of this skincare coming up this week so keep your eyes out for that. 

Hair Care wise I am still loving the John Freida Original 6 Effects Serum, this is such a great multi tasking product which leaves your hair silky smooth yet not greasy as well as being a heat protectant at the same time. I am keen to try out the rest of this range including the shampoo and conditioners after trying out this serum. 

Last but not least is the Sally Hansen Airbursh Legs, this is such an amazing and great on the go tanning product, it leaves you looking bronzed and flawless in five not exaggeration there ladies! This product I have previously used all over before and event not only does it give you a gorgeous bronzed skin it leave you with a flawless finish too.

SLEEK HAIR ESSENTIALS

Achieving the perfect sleek hair can be quid a challenge but with the right products and techniques it can be achieved in no time. Heat, humidity along with many other factors can turn your hair into a frizzy mess. Prior to styling your hair make sure your you deep condition your hair on weekly basis to keep it in good condition. Today's post will focus more on the styling side of creating the sleek look. I have tried and tested hundreds and I mean hundreds of beauty products and I have to admit ladies it is not easy finding a product that ticks all your boxes , of course there are thousands of good and bad products out there but because we all have different hair types not all work for all of us. Nevertheless here's three products which are my key essentials when I want to achieve a sleek hair look. 

A little about my hair.. I have pretty fine and petty damaged hair as I was blonde for over seven years which has done a little damage to my hair for sure, being brunette now and trying to be more natural with my hair colour has definitely helped but the damage will take a couple of months to reverse for sure. 

So here's what I do to achieve sleek hair....  after shampooing and conditioning I apply the John Freida Frizz Ease Original 6 effects serum on to damp hair , I mainly focus this on my ends so that my hair is not weighed down. This is a great product as it eliminates frizz, protects from humidity , smooths and hydrates at the same time which means you don't have to use multiple products on your hair. 

Once I have applied this onto my hair I usually leave my hair to air dry as I am not a big fan of hair drying my hair unless it is necessary, after my hair is dry I apply the Straight sexy hair balm from mid length to my ends . This products is great at prolonging your hair to stay sleek and smooth for a long period of time, if you have curly / wavy hair like me this will really help it stay smoother for longer. Once those two steps are done spritz a little bit of the Lee Stafford Flat iron Shine spray  which is great as once again it is a multi tasking products. It will protect your hair from the heat whilst leaving it with a nice glossy finish. Personally I love multi tasking hair products as it saves your hair from getting weighed due to product overload. Last step is to straighten your hair with your straightener, I use the GHD hair straighteners as I find they work best for my hair , leaving it silky smooth and frizz free. 

Hair Straightening Tips: 

♥ Brush your hair out prior to straightening your hair making sure there's no knots

♥ Use a tangle teezer or paddle brush to brush through the hair whilst straightening each section of your this will help to keep it smooth and sleek

♥ Make sure you use a ceramic plated straightener as they are a lot better for your hair meaning less damage

The Miracle Skin Transformer Treat & Conceal is known as a M3 Complex which contains marine collagen : which is the most similar to human collagen , it contains vitamins , essential sea minerals in addition to helping to heal the skin tissue resulting in plumper skin , reduced fine lines furthermore it helps to improve the tone and elasticity of the skin. Over all thoughts?

Gorgeous mix between a peach and baby pink color with a creamy consistency and a glossy finish. This is a gel based lipstick with a gorgeous gloss like finish. The colors are a bit more sheer once applied to the lips.

Hello Smooth Hair

Overworked, dry and brittle hair? I feel you girl, I think we have all gone through the stage where we literally put our hair through hell and regret it later but not to worry as I have found some products that not only work but will not freak your bank balance out either! I use to bleach my hair every three months for the last couple of years until I decided I wanted a change and went back to my natural roots well kinda when I decided to go brunette which as you can imagine left my hair in a pretty poor condition . Being a bit of a product junkie I have tried it all from the most expensive products to drugstore in the hope to find the 'perfect' remedy, lets be honest there is no such a thing however with the right products and patience you will recover those locks. So let's get on to the products.

Shampoo: Schwarzkopf essence Ultimate Repair

This is one of my all time drugstore favourite shampoos by far, it smells divine has a very silky texture and leaves your hair smooth, shiny and nourished. Having used this for over a month I simply can not fault this product as it has been working wonders for my hair and at only £4.99 it is an absolute bargain. 

Leave in Hair Conditioner : Macademia Oil Leav in Nourishing Cream

The macadamia oil range in general is fab but this product in particular has been working wonders for my hair, I apply this to wet hair concentrating on the ends and find my hair is tangle and frizz free. A little goes a long way with this product, whilst this leaves your hair nourished and soft it doesn't weigh it down which is great as there's nothing worse than leave in products that leave your hair looking flat. You can but this from as little as under £4 at BeautyBay.

Fact: Macademia Oil is great at hair nourishing as it contains the highest amount of palmitoleic acid ( Omega 7) of any plant. 

Hair Serum: John Freida Frizz Ease Original Strength 6 Serum 

Hair serum is essential if you have frizzy or dry hair as it helps to tame it down as well as leaving it looking silky smooth. This one is great as it fights against humidity whilst giving you a glossy silky smooth finish at the same time. I have been using this after I style my hair and find it leaves it smooth and shiny once again the formula doesn't leave your hair greasy or weighed down as long as you don't over do it , a little goes a long way. 

Straight Hair Balm: Straight Sexy Hair Balm

If you like the sleek smooth hair look that lasts then this is the product for you, the straight balm helps to achieve silky smooth hair that lasts and stays straight. It contains aloe vera gel and wheat protein which help to keep the moisture in your hair and combat frizz. I apply this right before I straighten my hair brush it through then straighten it. March Staples

 

With new products being launched pretty much daily it can be difficult to stick to only a selection of products , having said that we all find that there's  a few we tend to reach out for no matter what. This month the products above is what I have noticed myself reach for everyday with a mix of skincare and make up items here's what so great about each and single one of the items seen in the picture above.

Firstly The Good Things Total Make Up Wipes: these have really made an impression and its a good one ladies not only do they smell amazing just like a berry compote they are not your typical make up wipe now by that what I mean is that they are a little thicker than your standard wipe you buy and are very moist which is great as one wipe will be just enough to remove all your make up off .. practical? yes very and they retail at £2.33 absolute bargain!!! Having sensitive skin I can assure you these are sensitive skin friendly, my skin feels soft , refreshed and non irritated after each use, will I be repurchasing these.. Yes for sure.

The Borurjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation might just be what your looking for, its a medium to full coverage foundation which leaves you with a gorgeous dewy finish however does not appear greasy or oily on the skin , set with a powered it has a great long lasting power and will leave your skin looking flawless.  Personally I love how light this feels on your skin despite having such good coverage your skin still looks fresh and natural nor does it leave you looking cakey which is a great advantage as most full coverage foundation come with the disadvantage of feeling heavy on the skin. Adding a bit of a bronzed glow to the skin is an essential step in my make up routine and lately I have been loving the L'oreal Glam Bronze Mono which is such a beautiful golden bronzer, it has a brown undertone which is great as it does not leave your skin looking orange at all. The bronzer has no shimmer which is great as it leaves you with a more natural bronzed skin effect and it can be used to contour your skin too. 

Winged eyeliner is also my everyday essential and having tried and tested many eyeliners I have been very impressed with this Bourjois Mga Liner which makes your winged liner application super easy. I've had this for over a month now and it is still going strong which is impressive considering I've found that pen liners tend to dry out pretty fast this one however hasn't and has a really good staying power I find it stays put all day and does not smudge which is good eyeliner staple.
