Five Steps to Glowing Skin

Monday, 6 May 2013

Hey Dolls,

With summer just around the corner I am sure we are all in the prep mode for it, and glowing clear skin is on all of our wish lists for summer, hot weather means less make up and more tinted moisturisers rather than full coverage foundations but in order to be able to use these we need to prep our skin and get it looking its best. Today the weather is gorgeous in the UK and I decided to share with you ladies some of my Top Tips to get your skin glowing for summer.

First being water and I know we are always told to drink lots of it and it can get a bit repetitive but its the cheapest and most effective way of adding  glow to the skin. A great way to add some flavour to your water is by adding lemon to it , lemons are great as they are high in vitamin C and they speed up your metabolism perfect to get that bikini bod ready.

Exfoliating is key especially if you are drinking those eight glasses a day and your body is flushing all the toxins you need to get rid of the dead skin cells, but don't be too harsh or over do it as that can lead to dry skin or even breakouts if your take too much natural oils out of your skin.
Moisturising is the next step as the sun can be drying on the skin, make sure to use an spf , you don't have to use two different products for that there are so many great moisturiser which already have SPF's in them I know I can be a bit lazy so I always go for those two in one products.

some of my favourite moisturisers:

Highlighters and illuminators are a great way to add an extra dewy effect on the skin, they can be mixed in with your moisturiser or foundation or used to highlight only certain areas of your skin.

some of my favourite highlighters:

Last but not least is your diet of , as cliche as it sounds its oh so very true, you are what you eat , I notice a huge difference in my skin when I eat less healthily and eat sugary processed food. Some of my favourite glowing skin foods are berries which are high in antioxidants, avocados which are a great source of the good fats and fresh orange juice which contains lots of vitamin c which helps to produce collagen.I hope these tips help you on your way to achieve a healthy glowing skin.

What are your glowing skin tips?
