Hey Dolls,
I have a May favourites post for you today which I am quiet excited about as I have found some really amazing products over the last few weeks that have really stood out to me. There is a mixture of skincare , hair care and make up.
The first two favourites are haircare related. I have been loving the KERESTASE Nutritivie Bain Satin 2 shampoo designed for really dry hair, it leaves your hair silky soft and nourished yet doesn't weigh it down which is important for me , having thin hair products sometimes tend to leave me with flat hair however with this product I don't have to worry about that.
Whilst on the talk of hair care the got2be oil licious styling oil with argain oil has been my go to product all month. It leaves your hair super soft and silky yet once again doesn't leave you with greasy hair ( if used the right way of course). This is a great on the go product if your hair is looking a little frizzy and needs a quick fix.
Moving to some skincare products I am absolutely in love with the Emma Hardie cleansing balm, now I know soo many bloggers rave about this, and at first I was very skeptical as to whether it is worth the money and I put off buying it for months. I decided to give in and give it a try. Let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I have made, after only a few uses I was asked by a couple of girls at work as to what products I am using on my skin as it looks so soft and smooth. If you would like a full review let me know and I am more than happy to do it for you.
Next is a night cream , I was on the look out for a good night cream for a while and wasn't really getting anywhere until I was having a browse in boots and noticed this now I have heard Essie from Essie button talk about this brand and how much she loves it , so decided to give this wild rose night cream a go. It is such a gorgeous and nourishing cream , I am not too keen on the smell however it doesn't bother me enough to stop using it. A little goes a long way for sure, it's a a quiet rich formula but it absorbs super quick into your skin and leaves you with a gorgeous glow in the morning.
Last skincare / make up products is my Dr Jart BB cream , now that summer is just around the corner I have been loving using this as it has an spf , it moisturisers and evens out your skin tone all in one and I find that it is very long lasting especially if powdered.
Last few products are make up items, first being my Maybelline Fit me Powder which I have bought in the darker shade and use it as a bronzer , love the colour and finish it gives me. I love the formula as it is not too heavy and the powder has a silky feel to it which I really like.
For contouring I have been loving my Real Techniques brush, I find it is the perfect size and shape to contour your face and add some definition.
I am a big eyeliner girl and I switch between gel and liquid all the time. For the last couple of weeks I have rediscovered my Loreal liquid eyeliner which I love not only for the deep black colour but the applicator tip which makes it super easy to apply it the right way, the only fall down is it can rubb off easily if not set with a black eyeshadow, so if you know your going to be out all day , I would recommend setting it for sure.
Last is my covergirl lip perfection jumbo gloss , this is a really good hydrating lip balm, the colour is very buildable and leaves you with a suttle glosssy finish.
These are all the products I have been loving over the last few weeks. Let me know what your favourites have been over the month of May.

Great post :) I really want to try the cleansing balm but I don't think I can justify the price.

I have heard a lot about the Kerestase hair product, but it has been so expensive everywhere I've looked! How much did you purchase it for? I also really love the L'Oreal liquid eyeliner as well :)

I really liked the Maybelline Fit me Powder too, but have you found the packaging a bit difficult? My powder pad ripped almost straight away and I hate having to lift the mirror part of the compact up :(. Maybe it's just me being lazy!
ReplyDeleteLove that Real Techniques brush though, you're right, it's so perfect for contouring :)
