Wella SP Luxeoil Keratin Restore Mask Review

Kertain infused hair products have been very popular lately, keratin is what the outer layer of our hair consists of so it only makes sense to use products which have been infused with it to strengthen our hair which in results will leave the hair more silky , less frizzy and in a much better condition.

I was recently sent this Wella SP Luxeoil Keratin Restore Mask form Hairtrade , having never tried any wella Sp Luxeoil range I was very excited to give this a go.

What Wella SP Claim?

Perfect for weak, damaged and dry hair, Wella Sp Luxeoil Keratin Restore Mask 150ml is an intensive treatment which works to reconstruct the hair fiber, leaving your locks smooth and soft to the touch.
Formulated with a special combination of lightweight polymers and an expert blend of luxurious oils, including argan, jojoba and almond, this nourishing mask will dramatically improve the appearance and texture of your hair, leaving it looking lustrous and full of vitality. Suitable for all hair types, it works from within to return your locks to their former glory. - L.M.

Here is a photo of my hair after I used the treatment and just blow dried my hair! As you can see from the photos my left was left looking super shiny , bouncy and soft!

My Thoughts?

I have been using the Wella Sp Luxeoil Kertain treatment  for just over three weeks so I am still in the process of testing it out however having said that after using this product I felt like my hair was left softer , smoother and very easy to comb through which I struggle with sometimes as my hair has the tendency to knot very quickly and easily making it impossible to brush through when damp.

The smell is divine and the formula of the product has a thick creamy consistency however does not weigh your hair down which is amazing for a deep reconstructing product as I am sure most of you know that some deep treatments can leave your hair looking a little flat.

Overall so far I m very happy with the results after using this treatment on my hair, I will do an updated review of this in a month or so. I had a look in to the whole range which looks great and I will be looking to try some more of this range once I have finished my current shampoo's and hair oils which I am using.

Have you ever tried this Wella SP Luxe Keratin Range?

SUKIN MOISTURE RESTORING NIGHT CREAM REVIEW

Organic / more natural skincare has been becoming a ' beauty thing' over the last few months and more brands are coming out with products which are natural and contain less chemicals. I have not so long ago discovered the SUKIN Brand and was very curious to try it out. Being on the look out for new night cream I came across this SUKIN Moisture Restoring Night Cream and decided to give it a go.

The formula of the SUKIN Night Cream is semi thick but it glides over the skin very easily and absorbs very well without leaving an oily residue. I actually did a test where I switched up my night cream for a day ( after using this moisturiser for just over a month) and went back to the Sukin moisturiser the next day to see if I did see any results and just out of curiosity . After my little beauty experiment I found that when I apply this product at night my skin feely and looked a lot more plump and nourished in the morning with a super soft finish. Another great discovery I've made over testing out this product is that even though I wake up with soft and very nourished skin I don't have that oily residue on the skin when I wake up which having combination skin I have found that with some night creams I have used in the past I would wake up with a rather greasy looking skin which is not ideal nor attractive.

This product I feel has pretty much everything you need in a night cream especially if your into something natural, paraben free and nourshing oils based. The cream contains a mixture of natural oils from avocado oil, evening primorse oil , jojoba oil and many more which are great at restoring and replenishing your skin especially at night as this is the time your skin renews itself.

Packaging: SUKIN as a brand have a quiet simple almost organic feel to their packaging which I really like. With this particular product it comes in glass jar which I personally prefer to a standard plastic one not only does it look nicer I feel it gives the product a more luxurious feel to but thats just me being fussy haha. I do however feel that as it comes in a jar some of us find that a little unhygienic dipping our fingers in there everyday but I have found a simple yet effective solution to this, simply use a cotton bud to pick out the product form the tub dot it around your face massage it and your done ( so smart of me right ;) haha ?) .

Overal I am very happy with the product so far and will be trying out some more of their skincare range. The brand has multiple products from cleansers, scrubs and oils designed for any skin type.
Have you heard or tried SUKIN before?

NEW BRUNETTE HAIR USING LOREA'L CREME GLOSS & KB HAIR EXTENSIONS

Hello Beauties, so I decided to be a bit spontaneous and dye my hair a dark brown colour ,I am so pleased I have done it, I wasn't too happy with the colour I had over the last few  months which I did get done professionally in a salon but the colour just didn't seem right. I have been wanting to go dark for a while but was always too scared to do it until I just decided to go for it..  I did a lot of research about home hair dyes and which one to go for on Sunday night and just went for it last night. The dye I ended up using is the Lorea'l creme Gloss in the shade Iced Chocolate , now I have never used a boxed at home dye before but this drip free semi-permament formula was very easy to use and made the whole process stress free. I think the hardest decision was picking the actual colour with the wide variety of brown shades and tones I wasn't sure which one to pick but ended up sticking to the Iced Chocolate which I am very pleased with although I was expecting the colour to be a little lighter I am very happy with the dark glossy shade it has left me with, perhaps leaving it for a little less time would solve that issue if your contemplating trying out the shade but don't want to be left with such a  dark of a shade at the end.  The Lorea'l Creme Gloss dye overall gets a bit thumbs up from me, it left my hair feeling super soft with  a glossy and vibrant colour.

As It was a spontaneous decisions prior to this I have already ordered some new human hair extensions from KB Hairextensions but in a light brown shade so I decided to take another risk and dye the hair extensions too although I was a little worried it would damage my new hair it worked really well and as you can see from the photo above the hair is still silky soft and shiny now this shows the high quality of hair and the fact the dye is not very damaging on the hair as extensions do have the tendency to get damaged a lot faster than your own hair.

KB Hairextension is a brand I have never tried out before but having looked at their site I was very keen to try them out, they hold a wide range of hair and were even mentioned in Cosmopolitan Magazine which having received the hair I can understand why. The hair feels very high quality , is silky and blends in with your natural hair very well, now of course now all I have to do is put them to the test and see how I get on with them for the next few weeks but I will do an updated review for sure.

What do you think of my new hair colour?

ELF BLUSH PALETTE REVIEW

Let's talk a little make up today, in particular the brand Elf. Now Elf is one of those very affordable brands which have a great range of products which I would say some people underestimate whilst just like any other brand yes not all of their products are phenomenal there are some which are absolute gorgeous and are absolute bargains.

Today I wanted to talk to you about a newish addition to their studio line, The Studio Elf Blush Palette. The palette hold four gorgeous shades which is great as it can be used for various looks. With a mixture of both matte and shimmery shades which is great as you get a selection of product within a small palette . The shimmery shades are very wearable as the shimmer is very subtle and not over powering which can be the case with a lot of products which do contain a bit of glitter inside them.

The texture , finish and pigmentation of this product is of a high quality and luxurious product, which being honest I was very impressed with , I have used some of their powder type products before and felt like they did not reach my standards however it is not the case with this product. All of the four shades have a butter smooth and extremely pigmented texture so do apply these with light hand and build it up for a more intense look.

I particularity like the packaging of this product ,the matte finish gives it a chic , sleek look. It contains a built in mirror which is great and perfect if you are travelling or on the go. Another great thing about this palette is that the individual pans can be popped out so if you are able to customise your colours as they do the pallets in dark and light for different skin tones. The palette I have is in the darker shades but as you can see they are still very wearable and flattering.

The main thing I would improve on with this palette is possibly naming or numbering the colours so that it is easier to reference to them. Nevertheless the shades that come in the darker palette are as seen below. All four shades in my opinion are very pretty and versatile would suit many skin tones.

Overall this is such a great product at such an affordable price it retails at £7 which I personally think is amazing for the quality of the high pigmented product and the choice of colours you receive. Trying out this product reminded me I need to try out their products more often and I am looking forward to placing an order with them so will be having more elf product reviews for ya'll soon.Get your Elf Blush Palette here.

SKINCARE SOS: AD SKIN SYNERGY CLEANSING BALM REVIEW

Cleansing balms have been around for a few years now and they seem to be really taking over the world of cleansers in the skincare world. For anyone who is new to the cleansing balm concept, they are an oil based cleanser that remains solid in room temperature but once it gets in contact with your skin it melts and cleanses your skin removing any traces of make up.

As I mentioned above there are many out there but today I wanted to talk to you about one particular brand called AD Skin Synergy who provide the finest natural and organic skincare range which has been designed in such  a way that they are suitable for every skin type , hello simple yet effective skincare! Now personally I have only discovered the brand recently and after only trying their cleanser only I am very keen to try out the rest of the range which says a lot in my opinion as when it comes to skincare I am a very picky person.

Organic and natural skincare has become pretty big over the last few years and if that is something your keen to convert to, girl I got some good news for you. AD Skin synergy products are free from petrochemicals, artificial perfumes, parabens and colorants meaning your not putting any nasty chemicals on your skin which can lead to irritation and redness on the skin not to mention unnecessary skin damage.

The Actual Cleanser?

The product's come beautifully packaged and your provided with a muslim cloth which seem to work best when used together due to the cleansing balm being very gentle the muslim cloth acts as your gentle exfoliator.  The product is very simple to use , I simply take a little pea sized amount warm up the product in between my hands and gently massage it on to your skin for a few minutes once you've completed that step wet your muslim cloth in warm water and start cleansing the skin. Now this will remove most of your make up however I am a double cleanse kinda girl as I like to make sure all of the dirt and make up is off my face the next step is optional you can either repeat this step or go in with your ordinary cleanser which is what I tend to do as that works best for my skin type.

Why should you try a cleansing balm?

So now that you know all about the concept behind it , you might be wondering why should you splurge out on this particular product. In my experience cleansing balms really make a difference in your skin and its condition, having used one before eliminating it from my routine and now bringing it back I can honestly say it makes a huge difference to the appearance of your skin. Cleansing balms have a lot of essential oils which not only feel relaxing due to their natural scent once applied to the skin they are very clever in a way that no matter what your skin type they will adjust to your skin needs hence why they are suitable for all skin types. I notice my skin feels more nourished and glowing when this is part of my routine I think this is particularly a must have product in winter when the air is very cold and harsh on the skin.

Overall this product has a huge thumbs up from me, it works great at removing make up , does not irritate the skin , leaves your skin balanced and not stripped from the natural oils which is what a lot of cleansing products tend to do. Click here to check out AD Skin Synergy and their organic range of products.

PALMER'S COCONUT OIL HAIR RANGE REVIEW

Hair care is something I am pretty big on and always on the look out for the latest product launches which are designed for dry and damaged hair. Being blonde for over 6 years until last year did some pretty bad ass damage to my hair and I am now on a missions to try and get it back to a good condition.  During my recent visit at the hairdressers whilst going through magazines I came across an article about hair repairing products of which one of them was the Palmers Coconut Oil hair range which I have seen in shops before but never really showed much interest in the products for some odd reasons , which is strange considering I am a big fan of using organic coconut oil as a treatment. Nevertheless I picked up both the shampoo and conditioner and have totally fallen in love with both products.

A little about the Products:

The products contain coconut oil, keratin as well as vitamin e all of the ingredients mentioned have a great impact on repairing your hair and are all natural which is a bonus for anyone like me who colours their hair as it won't strip your colour off. On top of all of that the shampoo is sulfate and paraben free which is great as those two ingredients are known to be pretty damaging on the hair and tend to dry it out.

The shampoo has a white creamy consistency with a coconut scent to it which personally I really like, although it is paraben and sulfate free it does lather pretty well for an organic shampoo and I find it doesn't strip my hair or leave it feeling straw like intact the opposite it leaves it tangle free and super easy to manage. I found that this shampoo left my hair cleansed yet still provided me with moisture and manageability to my hair even when the conditioner wasn't used which is pretty impressive in my opinion.

Conditioner: Feelunique: £3.99

The conditioner has a pretty thick almost like a treatment consistency but it is super easy to spread through the hair. The scent is pretty much the same as the shampoo which is pretty strong and does linger for a while. I tend to leave this conditioner on for ten to fifteen minutes to really deeply condition my hair and find I am left with silky , soft and tangle free hair after. This is by far one of the best inexpensive treatments I have used in a while! I have tried and tested many conditioners from the most expensive ones to the cheaper ones and this product is totally worth the hype.

Overall:

These products are divine and I can honestly say it has been a while since I've loved a drugstore hair care product so much. The consistency and ingredients of both of the products are very impressive not to mention how well they work. I have only been using this for about three weeks and am very impressed with the results I had so far so am very much looking forward to the long term effects of this shampoo. Of course it is very important to switch up  your hair care so that your hair doesn't get use to a product or it will stop working however I can assure you this will be part of my routine for a very long time in the near future.

Have you tried the Plamer's Coconut Oil Hair Range?

RIO QUICK WAXER REVIEW

Hair removal is something all of us girls can relate to, personally I prefer waxing over threading or tweezing as I find it is the most effective and long lasting way of hair removal. I was recently kindly sent this Rio Quick Waxer which I was pretty excited to try  out as the only waxing removal products I have used before were the strips which I never found very effective in my experience.

This RIO kit is such a great and quick easy way to get rid of any unwanted facial hair, I have been using this on my eyebrows and have been very happy with the results I have been achieving. The product warms up in under five minutes and the no strip formula removes pretty much all of your hairs  and makes it super quick and easy not to mention mess free which was a massive bonus for me.

The process itself is super easy , simply warm up the wax in the little heating pan , string it every few minutes making sure the wax is  a little runny. Once it has melted you use the spatula to apply the wax in a thick coat making sure you apply it in the direction of the hair growth. Allow it to cool down  for a few seconds and simply peel it off in one quick motion. It is important to cool down the area afterwards so do use a cold cloth or a soothing cream afterwards to make sure your skin is not left irritated . This sounds easy enough right?!  If you would like to find out more click here.

Overall thoughts:

A great product worth trying for sure especially if your into waxing and need and easy mess free product. I would say the kit could do with some wipes in order to use after the process or some sort of a solution just to wipe of any excess but apart from that considering this was my first attempt using such a  waxing kit I was very impressed with the results I achieved.

Have you used any waxing kits , if so what was your experience with them?

MY LITTLE BOX LAUNCHES THE UK!

Beauty boxes is something  our beauty obsessed selves are very familiar with, it all began a while back and now there is such a wide variety of boxes which in my opinion is good in a way as everyone can find one that suits their preferences. Recently there's been a new launch in the UK of a Parisian beauty box called My Little Box which aims to " delight and surprise you every month'. The style, packaging and concept seemed right pup my street when I received the press release of My little box and it sure did live up to it standards when it arrived at my doorstep. It has already gone pretty huge in France and it has a lot of potential to be just as successful in the UK as the Parisian brand really explored the concept of a beauty box and made it that little bit more personal and unique whilst adding a few changes to the experience with the way they presented the box but also to the items you find inside.

What's hiding inside My Little Box?

Each box has unique items in it that vary , from beauty products to fashion and lifestyle accessories , a magazine ( always good to have a few of those for those pampering nights ey ;) ) illustrated goodies and as the brand claims 'other surprises too'. In addition to all of the above they do hold a range of their own products which you will be able to try out as each box will contain one item from their collection which is great , this allows us beauty obsessed chicas to discover new brands and products at a very affordable price.

How it works and how much is it ?

The Subscription itself is a very easy process , it puts you on an automatic pay monthly contract but your welcome to cancel that at anytime without any further costs. The Box itself retails at £11 ( plus £3.95 delivery cost) so technically it adds up to £14.95 a month which if you think about it is not a lot at all considering you will be receiving a box full of goodies every month , I have had a good look at the brand and they work with some of the biggest beauty names out there from Clarins, Givenchy  to Dove and Benefit so a great range of both high end and drugstore products will be delivered to you each month.

Overall Thoughts?!

I personally loved the first one which I was kindly sent and will be joining the club , I loved the box it came in and the products impressed me to , I was especially drawn to this particular box as its a varied one whilst you still get your beauty goodies you also receive some fab unexpected gifts too , plus I am totally loving the concept of receiving a little present every month.

SK:N LASER HAIR REMOVAL YAY OR NAY?

Today lets talk beauty the subject I am addressing today is laser hair removal. This is something I have considered many times , laser Hair Removal is known to be a' safe and pretty much pain free hair removal method which has been popular to help remove those so called unwanted hair.' Of course with so many hair removal methods out there these days it can be mind blowing deciding what option is best for you at least thats what I have found to be quiet tricky. Personally I think it's best to do a little research so your aware what makes each one stand out, prior to writing this post I did a bit of homework to help us all out and find out what makes it different to other similar methods out there.

I have collaborated with sk:n to introduce you to their laser hair removal treatment but also to get myself more familiar with the treatment if I do end up proceeding with it. I have previously used their skincare so I was very familiar with they brand as they have such a great and wide range of products for pretty much any skin type I was excited and keen to find out about their treatments too. Sk:n are all about the aftercare, having read their website I noticed they want to makes us ladies aware that after care is just as important as the actual treatment which I think is the case with many treatments. They will advise you on how to maintain your hair free skin but also consult you prior to the treatment where test patches are done in order to make sure  the treatments runs smoothly and with no complications, this is something that attracted me to their laser treatment , they provide you with a lot more than just the treatment itself.  Sk:n are kindly giving away vouchers to their non surgical treatments to anyone who uses their laser hair removal treatments which is great as you are able to try out any other treatments they may have on offer , we all love a freebie lets be honest and who doesn't like to be pampered so I personally think its fab they do this as not only is this helping them get their treatments out there it's a bonus for us ladies too as technically we are getting two treatments for the price of one , think I can deal with that hehe!

Let's get a little serious and Technical, below are a few of the main FAQ's That The Sk:n have put together to make it easy for us laser hair removal newbies easier if you would like to find out more simply click here to have a browse through their website.

How does the treatment work?

The laser is attracted to the dark pigment in hair called melanin. The energy from the laser travels down to the base of the hair follicle using melanin as a ‘conductor’ where it disperses as thermal energy. This damages the base of the hair follicle rendering it unable to produce hair as quickly. This rate of growth will decrease more as you have further treatments.
As well as the laser needing melanin, the hair must also be in a certain stage of its growth cycle for the treatment to be effective. This cycle is known as the ‘active growing phase’, or anagen, and is when the hair is connected to the base of the hair follicle. This connection provides a direct pathway for the laser energy to disperse where the hair is produced at the base of the follicle.
Not every hair is in this phase at any one time on the body which is why you will need multiple treatments. This is referred to as the ‘resting phase’ or telogen.

Is this the right treatment for me?

As melanin is needed in order for the treatment to be effective, laser hair removal unfortunately does not yet work on blonde, white or grey hair.

How often will I need treatment?

You must have the treatment on a regular basis to get the maximum benefit. Facial hair is treated every 4 weeks and body hair is treated every 6 weeks. We recommend a minimum of six treatments.

What happens after treatment?

You may have some redness in the skin; this is completely normal and generally settles within 24 hours. Protecting your skin from the sun is essential to avoid any darkening caused by increased pigment in the skin called hyperpigmentation. The sk:n after care kit will help to protect your skin.
This has definitely been a longer post to what I usually write but I wanted it to be informative and as helpful to ya'll interested in the topic as possible.I would love to know about your experiences with laser hair removal treatments if any of you have had one?
*DISCLAIMER: This is a collaborated post however all of my opinions are my own and honest.

SUMMER BEAUTY & HAIRCARE MUST HAVES

I find that with each season I tend to switch up my hair care and beauty must haves as we probably all do, different seasons mean different needs right? I am a big online shopper it's just so much more quicker and you can find some pretty good deals with free deliveries so ladies let's shop till we drop and get it delivered right to our door steps!

Today I wanted to introduce you to the  Regis Salons , they are known to recreate the best styles seen in the fashion world and reproduce them for ya'll on the British high street across salons in the UK. They are known for being specialist in the latest cut trends, colours and provide a service to suit your own personal style. Launching a brand new online store they are offering to provide you with the most professional brands including Kerastase, GHD & much more right to your doorstep with a free delivery and on going offers on their site. I have had a little browse through their site and was very pleased to see some of my ultimate Summer Must haves which I have used in the past and some recently rediscovered.

Morrocan Oil Travel Kit: If you haven't tried this range yet I highly suggest you do it soon! It took me a while to fall into this Morrocan Oil Hype to be honest but once you try this trust me you will not want to go back , well at least that was the case with me. If I'd recommend to try one item from this range it's the oil, it moisturisers, tames frizz and I honestly think it repairs my hair like no other product I notice a huge difference when I use this.

GHD Pastel Jade Styler I have been a GHD's girl since I received my first GHD at the age of 12 and have been loyal to it since! No other hair straighteners work as well on my hair as these bad boys! I am just in love with this mint green ones! They scream Summer , don't they just?!!

Sothys Hydradvance Intensive Serum Summer means lot's of sunbathing, a little bit more drinking ;) , those summer nights can be a little dehydrating and harsh on the skin so using a hydrating serum will be your bestie this summer! Despite having combo skin I try to use a deep nourishing serum 3/4 times a week to keep my skin plump and healthy looking.

Kerastase Volumeifique Spray anything that volumises and works is a must have in my haircare, having quiet fine hair I love creating an illusion of bigger thicker hair with volumising sprays and this little beauty works fab with a little bit of heat. If your trying to be good and air dry your hair what I would recommend is once your hair is about 85% dry use a big round brush with a hair dyer just to finish it off it will give you that fab bouncy hair in no time with tons of volume.

St. Tropez Body Scrub exfoliation is key to glowing healthy skin , and this St Tropez Body Scrub is superb , it will leave removed the deerskin cells ( attractive I know ;) ) from your skin leaving your body beach ready but also perfect prior to fake tanning if your a little bit of self tan obsessed chic like myself.

OPI Privacy Please Nail Polish I love neutral nail polishes in the summer , I think they look great with a tan and just go with all your summery outfits , light pinks like this colour always make it n my summer make up bag.

OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat Hate waiting for your nail polish to dry?! Yeah me too! Thank god for top coats like these! Life Savers or What? Apply this and in no time you'll be ready to go!

These are some of my summer Beauty & Haircare must haves that have made it into my Beauty Bag so far, I have no doubt that I'll probably acquire a few more products along the way.

What are your Summer Beauty & Hair care must haves?

HK HAIR EXTENSIONS REVIEW

Let's be honest we all want that long wavy Victoria's Secret Model Hair and although some of us were not naturally blessed with super long locks worry no more ladies I have come across the most luxurious extensions I have tried out so far no wonder there is such a big hype around this Fabulous Brand! The beauty of hair extensions is that you are able to achieve almost any look with them , personally I feel like the  longer the hair the better but of course if not done properly or the hair quality is not good enough it can look cheap and nasty.  If you have been after a great pair of extensions to achieve that Rapunzel beautiful long thick hair!? Well girl look no further as DIRTY LOCKS HAIR EXTENSIONS are here to help you!

 Packaging

When I received these I was really impressed how Dirty Looks have packaged the HK Hair Extensions in this super adorable packaging but also it's been specifically packaged  such a way that allows you to see if you have that perfect colour match in case you need to exchange it for another colour. I also received a cute note and a lollipop which gave it a really sweet touch ! Thanks guys!

Weft & Thickness

I have tried and tested a few hair extension brands over the years and have noticed sometimes the wefts can be really thin giving you a really unnatural look. The great thing about these is that you get a mixture of weft thicknesses meaning you are able to achieve the most natural look depending on your natural hair thickness. I noticed that these are thick from top to bottom too - they don't go scraggly at the ends .

For days when you  only want a little bit of length and nothing too heavy, simply add a few pieces however if  you want a voluminous look like the one I achieved in the photos the full set of  wefts for that Victoria's Secret Model Hair look.

The full head hair extensions set comes with ten wefts which include a variety of 3,2,1 clips which creates the set. It also includes the quad weft which I am in love with I feel like it adds a lot of hair without having to clip in a lot of different wefts which not only saves time it looks great too. The clips are super sturdy and stay put once clip in.

Length

The HK Hair extensions range has four lengths for you to choose from, I opted for the 20-22" and am so happy with my decision as it really allows me to create various different hair styles but also a tip I have from experience is that when you get longer hair if you have had it for a while you are able to get your hair dresser to give it a trip to keep the ends looking fresh again this pro longs your hair extensions a little bit.

Overall

These hair extensions are absolutely gorgeous, the hair quality is on top form and they blend it seamlessly with your own hair , I can assure you will not be disappointed when you receive these. The Dirty Looks Hair extension range  holds a very wide colour option I would recommend you check out their website if you would like to try them out. This set retails at £87.49 but they are currently on a special offer for £69.99 so go go get yourself a pair here!! which may not seem the cheapest however for the amount and quality of hair you receive it is truly worth it.   I've styled the hair with  curling and straightening irons you can still use heat tools on them without too much damage but I would recommend using heat protectants and serums to keep it in the best condition as long as possible.  Huge thank you to Dirty Looks for sending me these gorgeous set of extensions I will be repurchasing in the future without a doubt and have friends who are very keen to try these out too!
