Skindinavia Make Up Finishing Spray

A long lasting make up is something we all like to achieve , especially those of us who lead a busy lifestyle and simply don't have time to touch up our make up through out the day, whilst having a good foundation and setting powder helps , there is one more step you can do to pro long it even more. Personally I have not used any setting sprays before apart from the Max Studio Fix spray which I like to use to refresh my face and make up throughout the day.
Skindinavia Make Up Finishing Spray?

The skindinavia make up setting sprats have a variety of finishes the two I want to introduce you to today are the no more shine and just the original finishing spray.
The no more shine is pretty self explanatory it helps to reduce oil production and keep you shine free throughout the day. I have found that this works best for me used before I apply my make up as to spraying it afterwards , it is great at controlling oil production through the day and I find theres days I can go without touching up at all.

The Original Make up finishing spray acts more as a setting spray and focuses mainly on prolonging it whilst holding your foundation, concealer  etc in place. It also aims to reduce the make up from setting in to your pores, lines and wrinkles

The Formula
"SKINDINÄVIA has solved the vanishing makeup mystery with patented Temperature Control Technology® that forms a lightweight, breathable web on top of your makeup, holding everything in place for up to 16 hours."

Overall Thoughts?

Having used these setting sprays for a good few weeks now I can honestly tell a difference when I haven't set my make up with this in the morning, it leaves my skin looking flawless and prolongs my make up throughout the day which is a great bonus. I would definitely recommend giving these a go as they are a great high quality products and are suitable for any skin type as they carry a wide range of products designed for different needs.

Spring Trends 2014 - What to look out for

With spring just around the corner as you may have already noticed there have been many new trends but  there have also been some returning ones  from previous seasons which are making a reaprrance. The pastel colours have been seen again on the catwalks as well as high street shops. The great thing about this trend is that every single one of us ladies is able to choose the most flattering colour suited to our own personal skin tone and incrroprate this trend in to our wardrobes.

Iridescent colours is another trend which will be big this season, slightly more out there however can be toned down for sure so if your not into statement pieces why not make it a statment ridescent accesory such as a clutch ,although we do have to say that a vibrant dress is a perfect statement in the evening an would look gorgeous with the summery bronzed skin.

Moving on to a slightly more tamed and wearable trend are full skirts which have been worn by quiet a few known faces already. The very voluminous skirts paired with a crop top is a perfect match this spring season. They are very feminine and can be worn both night and day depending on how they are styled which makes it a great must have piece which is versatile.

Time to get all suited up and 007  this season,  choose one that is coordinated whether its brave colours, patterns or styles these have been seen on the catwalks and street style as I noticed during the London Fashion week. Although not all of us like to go too match matchy this look can be very chic , feminine and bold without being too much, of course if your not in to the matching ones they can be tamed down or broken up with accessories and colour blocking.

These are just some of the trends to look out for this Spring 2014, just like with any trends we highly recoomend you pick and select the ones you like and incoroperate those in to your waredrobe as not every trend is for everyone having said that we do think each trend can be made to suit your own personal style.

Shwarzkopf Essence Ultimate Omega Repair Shampoo

Schwarzkopf have not long ago released a new line of hair care available in all drugstores at a very affordable price. I am always trying out new hair care products and could not resist picking this shampoo up recently when I run out of my shampoo.

The formula of this shampoo feels very luxurious, silky and lathers very well once applied on to the hair. After using this for over three weeks I can conclude that the rich and hydrating formula of this shampoo leaves your locks hydrated and easy to style after, I tend to struggle with tangles in my hair after I wash it with a lot of other brands, with this particular shampoo I did not find this an issue which I was very pleased about.

The shampoo claims to rebuild and deep repair your hair as well as prevent split ends with the omega oil that the shampoo is infused in, although I can not say that it has fully repaired my hair or my split ends I am able to say that it is definitely helping to hydrate and prevent it as I have noticed I have been reaching for this shampoo over some of my high end ones which says a lot about the product. I will continue to use this and will do an updated review after I have used it for a longer period of time.

Having only used this shampoo from the range I will be trying out more products from the Schwarzkopf Ultimate line as it has impressed me so far. Have you tried any of their Ultimate Range products?

Small Beauty Haul

I recently bought a few new beauty products which I came across and wanted to give a go, I am a big fan of contouring and having used the Sleek Contour Kit I was excited to see this version of it with an addition of the gorgeous gold shimmery colour. The colours are so pigmented and look beautiful once applied. Having run out of my make up remover which I usually tend to stick to micellar waters as I like the way they feel on my skin and how convenient they are I came across the Lierac cleansing oil and decided to give it a go, I have heard many good things about cleansing oils and the benefits of using them, I have been using this for a few days now and so far so good, although I will do a full review of this once I have used it for a little longer. Last but not least I picked up the tea tree oil peel off face mask which I was very pleased with after using it, it claims to help to clean out your pores and keep the pimples at bay, having only used it once I can not say that it has made a huge difference to my skin however after using it my skin felt super soft and clean so I will be repurchasing this for sure. This is just a little haul with a few of the beauty products I picked up over the weekend with which overall I a very pleased with. What have you been loving lately?

Weekend Outfit & Instagramming

This weekend one of my university friends came to visit me , which was great fun, after graduation, getting a job and life in general getting in the way it is sometimes hard to find time for anything so it was lovely to see her again, have a catch up and bring the old times back. Seems like university was such a long time ago even though its only been just over six months since I graduated and got a job as a junior interior designer. I got to say being all grown up and becoming an adult has its good and bad sides but it sure is nice to let your hair down sometimes and have some fun. We had a blast catching up, going for dinner and a night out in town. The next day we ended up going for brekkie at Frankies & Bennys which do a great breakfast deal and pretty decent food too.

In the top H&M paired with the gorgeous sequined River Island shorts which I can not get enough of all paired with a pair of black New Look shoes and gold jewellery.

A girl should be two things..Classy & Fabulous - Coco Chanel

Personally I love a statement outfit and this one is one of them for sure. With spring around the corner although it may not look like it in the UK I have been loving the brighter colours lately and have been incorporating  them in to my wardrobe.  White is a pretty brave colour to rock but personally I love it, its fresh, crisp and sleek and just like black works with almost any colour. Orange/ coral has been also one of my top colours lately. In this outfit I paired white River Island Leggings with a white Zara top, River Island blazer, New Look Boots and a Primark Bag which I adore , such a a bargain and looks far more expensive than it was, to finish the outfit off I accessorised it with gold jewellery which I think finished off the outfit perfectly. Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight

I am usually a little skeptical when it comes to the 'All in one " products as they all tend to seem to good to be true, this product claims to improve the skins texture and pore size, help to minimise the appliance of fine lines, reduce the look of imperfections whilst leaving you with an even skin tone with a illuminated finishes in addition to leaving your skin soft and airbrushed.

What are my thoughts?

I was very pleasantly surprised once I have tried out and tested this product.Personally I love the illuminated skin finish so this was right up my street. The products does leave your skin with a subtle shimmery finish so if your skin is more on the oiler side or you don't like that you may not want to put this all over but use this as a highlighter instead which works fab too. The formula of the product is silky smooth however does not feel silicony like a lot of products similar to this do which I really like. As to whether it improves your pores and fine lines I have not noticed a difference having said that it works fab as a pre foundation primer as it does leave your skin feeling smooth and adds a subtle bronzed colour to the skin.

The great thing about this product is that it hydrates, protects ( contains spf 20) and enhances your skin tone all in one product, so perfect on the go as it will act as a multi tasking product. This product will be fantastic for the summer seasons where you want a skin illuminator and primer instead of a heavy foundation.

Ingredients?

The skin transformer is packed with many great ingredients some of which include, vitamin A which has great benefits to help fight acne as well as wrinkles, vitamin K for fighting pigmentation, vitamin E and Co Enzyme Q10 which help against ageing.

Application?

The product applies very easily and smoothly onto the skin as it glides like silk. A little goes a long way which means it will last you for a pretty long time of course if used on its own you may want to use a little more.

Overall?

I would say this product is worth trying for sure as it has so many multiple benefits as well as uses. It retails at £29.50 which may seem pricey however having all the benefits in one product I would say it is worth it and pays off.

LONDON FASHION WEEK 2014

This weekend I attended London Fashion Week, as I covered a few shows for the online magazine The Upcoming. Having never attended London Fashion Week before I was stoked when I got this amazing opportunity and was not going to let it down. Seeing all the amazing designs, super stylish and unique outfits as well as many bloggers I have followed for the last few months it was an overall great experience. Watching the beautiful catwalk shows was for sure the highlight of my weekend, the ideas,  presentation as well as the garment designs were phenomenal.

On the photos above you can see what I wore on one of the days I attend the show, I wore a cobalt blue piece with a black cropped top , white shirt , black shoes and bag and accessorised it with gold jewellery. I love this vibrant look , I felt like the colours really complimented each other and the outfit look well put together.

Since I was Covering the Show for The Upcoming, you can have a look at my articles on their website by clicking here.

Here's a few a photos from some of the shows I attended. Have you been following the London Fashion Week 2014 and the latest trends that are being seen on the Catwalks for this season?

Black and Mint Green Nail Design

I recently started getting into nail design again and am thinking of investing in a nail kit and adding a few more colours into my collection. Last night I came up with this simple design which I am very happy with the outcome with. Firstly I applied my Kelly Brook black nail varnish with a top coat of the Wet and Wild navy blue glitter colour and added Barry M Gelly mint green tips with the exception of my second finger which I did the opposite to. I am very pleased with the outcome. Lastly I added a top coat of the Sally Hansen Double duty top coat. I think the bright minty green works really well with the black and adds a nice pop of colour. What do you think?

Current Skin Care Favourites

Today let's talk skincare , there are thousands of products out there to choose from but from personal experience I am aware how hard it is to find the right products for you personal needs, especially when your in that age when you are not longer a teenager but still not in the 'anti-aging' group. Having tested out various brands from high end to drugstore I have a few products to share with you ladies that are worth trying and giving a go from eye care to make up remover we are here to help you out. Starting off with make up removal the Soapand Glory Fab pore wipes are an amazing step to add to your skincare as they contain poreshrink-4™ complex which is a non-irritating and slow-release salicylic acid which will help to keep your skin clear and prevent spots. These are a double win as they get rid of the make up and oils along with the additional benefit of helping to keep your skin clear , tried and tested ladies they work.

Tired of dull under eye skin? Me too! I may have just the solution for you, the L'oreal Paris Skin Perfection Awakening eye cream will not only brighten up your eyes it will also help to banish those fine lines. It has a universal tinted formula instantly improves the appearance of your under eye skin leaving it feeling brighter and moisturised.

The recent weather has for sure not been kind to our skin and may have left you with dehydrated and dull looking complexion however not looking to splurge too much on a new skincare product? Worry no more my recent discovery of the natural Almond oil will solve that problem for you, use this on top of your moisturiser or just on its own every night and you will wake up with hydrated glowing skin. This inexpensive oil has many skin benefits some of which include sun protection and due to the high contents of vitamins it helps to prevent wrinkles.
